From Tradelance to Arkero

Tradelance taught us the problem. Arkero is the company we built to solve it.

Where we started

Arkero’s story starts well before Arkero itself.

Kyle spent much of his career in construction and business operations across Australia and New Zealand.

Like a lot of businesses, the companies he worked in changed over time. Teams grew. Responsibilities shifted. New problems appeared and old ways of working did not always keep up.

Those years gave Kyle a close view of what it was like to build, manage and operate businesses from the inside.

There was no Arkero at that point.

There was no plan to build a remote staffing company either.

It was simply the beginning of a much longer journey that would eventually lead to Tradelance, and later, Arkero.

Tradelance

Before Arkero, there was Tradelance.

Tradelance was built from the experience Kyle had gained working around trade and construction businesses.

The original idea was simple. Create a better way for contractors and businesses to work together, with clearer contracts, safer payments and more visibility across the relationship.

Over time, Tradelance grew into a real technology platform with customers, users and a team behind it.

It became the first major step in the journey that would eventually lead to Arkero.

At that stage though, Arkero was still not the plan.

Building our own remote team

While building Tradelance, we started building a remote team of our own.

It began with developers, then grew into operations, support, marketing and management.

Over time, something became very clear.

They were no longer just supporting the business.

They had become the business.

They were building the product, running operations, supporting customers and helping move the company forward every day.

And that changed the way we looked at remote work completely.

We realised that high performance was not tied to where someone lived.

The right person, with the right support and the right environment, could perform to an exceptionally high standard from anywhere.

For us, remote work stopped being an alternative way to build a team.

It became the way we built ours.

Seeing the results firsthand

Building Tradelance kept us close to the businesses we wanted to help.

Over time, we realised many were not short on ideas or technology. They were short on capacity.

There was too much work sitting with too few people.

At the same time, our own experience showed us that finding great people was only part of the answer.

How those people were managed, supported and coordinated could be improved too.

That started to shape a much bigger idea about what the future of work could look like.

Creating Arkero

The more we saw, the clearer the opportunity became.

We did not just want to build another staffing company.

We wanted to create on demand staffing that made it easier for businesses to access great people when they needed them.

But the bigger idea went further than staffing.

We wanted to build a better way for small businesses to operate, with the people, systems and technology around them working together.

A way for a small business to run better than it ever had before.

That is what Arkero started becoming.

Where we're headed

We think small business is about to change more in the next few years than it has in decades.

AI will be at the centre of that change.

Not as another tool sitting on the side.

But as something that helps run the business.

Something that helps manage people, keep work moving, spot what needs attention and give the owner back time.

Pair that with great people on demand, and a small business suddenly has a level of capability that simply did not exist before.

That is the direction Arkero is heading.

We are not trying to build a better staffing agency.

We are building a new way to run a business.

And what comes next is the biggest part of the Arkero story yet.

Who we are

Arkero is a people first, technology driven staffing company connecting Australian and New Zealand businesses with skilled professionals based in the Philippines.

Our team brings experience across recruitment, business operations, technology, finance and growth. We combine that experience with our own platform to make finding, onboarding and managing remote staff simpler.

We recruit and support the professionals we place, while giving clients one place to manage the relationship, time tracking, support and payments.

Our goal is simple: great people, strong support and technology that makes staffing easier.

Where we’re going

We’re building Arkero to make great talent accessible to businesses wherever they are.

Technology is central to that. Arkero AI and our platform are being built to help our team keep the talent pool current, match people to roles, build shortlists, identify risks and move placements forward faster.

As Arkero grows, the platform will use information from roles, placements and outcomes to help us continually improve matching, support and decision making.

The goal is not to replace people. It is to use technology for repetitive work so our team can focus on people, support and outcomes.

Great people. Great businesses. One intelligent platform connecting them.

The leadership behind Arkero

Arkero is supported by a growing team of professionals across technology, people and talent, business development, finance and marketing.

Our leadership team oversees these departments, bringing together the experience, people and technology required to deliver reliable remote staffing services and support our continued growth across Australia, New Zealand and international markets.

How we treat our people

People placed through Arkero are part of the wider Arkero team, not just names on a placement list.

Our People & Talent team and wider support team are there from recruitment and onboarding through to ongoing engagement, development and support. We set clear expectations, stay connected and work to make sure people feel valued and supported in the work they do.

We believe looking after good people creates better long term outcomes for everyone. Staff stay engaged, clients receive stronger support and better working relationships are built on both sides.

People first is not just a line for us. It is how we want Arkero to operate.

Why we’re starting with Australia & New Zealand

Australia and New Zealand are our core markets first. We know the businesses, the way they operate and the pressure many owners and teams are under when it comes to finding good people, keeping up with growing workloads and managing rising employment costs.

Remote staffing gives businesses another option. Compared with traditional local hiring, businesses can save up to 70% on staffing costs while still gaining access to skilled, experienced professionals who can become a genuine part of the day-to-day operation.

Arkero is not built around one industry. We support businesses across a wide range of sectors, including trades and construction, professional services, property, finance, e-commerce, healthcare administration and customer support.

We match people based on both industry experience and the specific skills required for the role, helping us find people who understand the work as well as the sector they’re joining.

We’re starting with Australia and New Zealand, proving the model properly, and then expanding further as we grow.
From Tradelance to Arkero transition

From Tradelance to Arkero

Before Arkero, there was Tradelance. It was created to solve problems we saw firsthand in trade and construction businesses, with an original focus on technology, contracts and payments.

Building Tradelance put us directly in front of the businesses we wanted to help and showed us that the biggest constraint was not another piece of software. It was capacity.

Business owners were already surrounded by systems and subscriptions. What many lacked was the time and people needed to get the work done. Quoting, administration, customer follow up, finance, scheduling and inbox management were consuming hours that should have been spent elsewhere.

That insight changed the direction of the company. Tradelance became Arkero, and we began building a staffing business that gives Australian and New Zealand businesses access to skilled professionals based in the Philippines.

Technology still matters, but its role changed. It now powers the experience behind the people, helping make matching, onboarding, time tracking, support and payments faster and easier to manage.

We are not trying to be a traditional staffing company with a nicer website. We are building the people, technology and operating systems required to make access to great staff faster, simpler and more scalable.
